Construction Certificate (CC)

A Construction Certificate is required after a Development Consent is issued by the Local Council and before any physical commencement of building work is carried out.

A Construction Certificate certifies that the construction plans and specifications are consistent with the Development Consent, and comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and other relevant Australian Standards.

T.W.B.A. has Private Certifiers who are registered to issue Construction Certificates for all residential, industrial and commercial developments.

Complying Development Certificate (CDC)

A Complying Development Certificate is a fast-tracked approval process for certain types of development, without requiring a Development Consent from the Local Council. A CDC is assessed under the Statement of Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) Exempt and Complying Codes.

Complying Development Certificates were introduced State-wide by the NSW Government as an incentive to make the development approval process consistent, less confusing, cheaper and faster.

T.W.B.A. has Private Certifiers who are accredited to issue Complying Development Certificates for all residential, industrial and commercial developments.

Principal Certifier (PC) Services

A Principal Certifier is appointed by the owner, prior to commencement of any building works. A PC’s role is to perform critical stage inspections throughout construction and ensure the development is completed in accordance with all approved documentation. The PC will then issue the Occupation Certificate.

T.W.B.A. has Private Certifiers who are accredited to provide PC services for all residential, industrial and commercial developments.

Occupation Certificate (OC)

An Occupation Certificate is issued by the Principal Certifier giving approval to use or occupy a building (or other structure) in conjunction with the Development Consent or Complying Development Certificate. When a development or works are completed, a number of contractor certificates will need to be provided to verify certain parts of the building are compliant with the BCA and Australian Standards.
