Terry West – Founder

Terry is the founding Director of Terry West Building Approvals & Consultants who started the company when private certification was first introduced in 1999.

Terry retired in 2019 but still plays an active role in the company, sharing his wealth of knowledge and helping with assessing the class 2-9 developments.

Timothy West – Director / Building Surveyor – Unrestricted

Tim started with the company as a junior cadet in 2000 while still studying at Western Sydney University eventually obtaining his Accreditation in 2005.

He is an unrestricted Certifier and can assess building applications for a wide variety of developments ranging from carports to commercial/residential/industrial building including projects involving Alternate/Performance Solutions

Tim has assessed applications for some of the largest residential subdivisions across Western Sydney.

Ousama Al-Taiff – Building Surveyor – Class 1 & 10 Buildings

Ousama started with the company in 2017 and has assessed applications for some major domestic residential housing developments throughout Western Sydney.

Ousama has a background in engineering and building/construction, and has also worked in local government therefore possessing experience in a wide variety of building certification.

Karl Jawabreh – Building Surveyor – Class 1 & 10 Buildings

Karl is the newest member of the certification team starting with the company as an A4 Accredited Certifier in 2018. He recently obtained his A3 Accreditation and has since assessed and determined a wide variety of developments ranging from sheds and carports to dual occupancies.

Karl has a background in engineering and building/construction therefore possessing experience in a wide variety of building certification.

 

Ali Hafez – Building Inspector

Ali is the newest member of the certification team starting in 2021. He is a building inspector and can be seen out on site conducting critical stage inspections while working towards upgrading his accreditation.

 

 

Courtney Stewart– Office Manager

Courtney is a valued member of the team running the day to day operations of the business and has been doing so since she joined the company in 2007.

Carly Plummer – Office Manager

Carly began with us in July 2022, she is covering Courtney’s maternity leave. She comes to us with over 15 years administration and accounts experience.

Natalie Farrugia – Administration

Natalie joined the team in 2017 and is a valued member who does an amazing job with all administration duties Monday, Tuesdays and every second Wednesday.

Sonya Dorman – Administration

Sonya joined the team in 2020 and is a valued member who does an amazing job with all administration duties Thursdays, Fridays and every second Wednesday.

Elyce Mott – Administration

Elyce is the newsest member of the team joining us in 2021. Specialising in data entry, she works Tuesdays and Thursdays.
